Pakistan Navy holds operational commands, industrial seminar
KARACHI: Pakistan Navy’s Operational Commands and 3rd Pakistan Navy Industrial Seminar was held and Chief of the Naval staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi graced the occasions as chief guest.
The latest developments in the realms of cyber and space warfare as well as regional security situations were thoroughly discussed and analysed by the panelists participating in the Operational Command Seminar 2019.
The chief guest appreciated the quality of the papers were presented, adding to emphasise on moving forward while comprehending hybridization of contemporary warfare in all domains including cyber and space warfare.
While addressing the seminar, the Naval Chief expressed deep satisfaction over the performance of the newly established Navy Research and Development Institute (NRDI) and appreciated the progress in various projects.
He also praised the collaboration of NRDI with local industry and academia, saying that such interactions provide opportunities to seek long term joint ventures/ collaboration in various emerging naval systems and technologies.
Zafar Abbas lauded the valuable and informative participation by the representatives of various industries of private sector. He further said in the era of globalization and technological innovation, we needed to join hands for concrete collaborations and partnerships that could add value to national economy and could strength national defence.
