SSB to sponsor Mirpurkhas tennis event

KARACHI: Sindh Sports Board (SSB) will sponsor a tennis event to be held in Mirpurkhas in the coming days, Secretary Sports of Sindh Imtiaz Ali Shah has announced.

Imtiaz was addressing the closing ceremony of the 60th SSB Development Series Ranking Tennis Championships at Union Club here on Friday.

On the final day of the event, Zayed won the under-7 singles final. Zayd Zaman clinched the under-9 singles title.

In the final of under-11 category, Samer Zaman won 4-2, 4-1, while the final of under-13 category was won by Ibrahim Noman.

In the under-15 final, Ibrahim Noman won 7-5, 6-3. Ghufran Faiz claimed the under-17 title by winning round robin. In the men’s singles category, Nadir defeated M Ali 6-1, 6-2 to clinch the title.
