SHC grants bail to ex-deputy director of information dept
The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday granted bail to former information department deputy director Mansoor Rajput in a corruption case. Rajput had requested the high court to grant him bail in the case in which he was a co-accused along with former Sindh information minister Sharjeel Inam Memon. Approving his request, the SHC granted him bail against a surety bond of Rs1 million. The high court directed the relevant authorities to put Rajput’s name on the Exit Control List. The SHC also sought a report from Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre Executive Director Dr Seemin Jamali on the health of another accused in the case. The high court issued directed the National Accountability Bureau to submit a report on the bail pleas of some other co-accused. Meanwhile, the respondents were directed to submit their written comments on the bail pleas by January 20.
