Rallies taken out in KP in support of Pervez Musharraf
PESHAWAR: Protest rallies were taken out in parts of the province in support of former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf and against the verdict of the special court against him.
In the provincial capital, three separate rallies staged in support of the former president. Two separate rallies were taken out by All Pakistan Muslim League and Pakistan Zindabad Movement outside the Peshawar Press Club.
The members of the Tajir Insaf Group of traders also staged a rally on the Grand Trunk Road.In Mardan, the Markazi Tanzeem-e-Tajiran, Zahir Shah Group, staged a protest rally on Friday, condemning the death sentence to former president Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf by the special court. The participants raised slogans in support of the army and Pervez Musharraf. Addressing to the rally, Zahir Shah said that people would never accept special court's verdict against Pervez Musharraf.
In Mansehra, the demonstrations were held against the capital punishment to the Musharraf. A rally, which was taken out from outside central mosque at the Abbottabad Road, assembled at Khatam-i-Nabuwwat Chowk. Protest rallies were also staged in Upper Chitral and Lower Chitral districts.
