Upset win for Rapunzel Beauty in Lahore races
LAHORE: Dominator Cup, the main race of the 16th day winter meeting 2019-20 of Lahore Race Club went to unsetting Rapunzel Beauty, which was on fluke here on Sunday.
In the other races the four winners were came up with an upset while four favourite claimed their specified positions. Overall there were five upsets including of the cup race in which the winners were 1st race Turab Prince, 2nd race Tell me, 4th race Zoaq-e-Yaqeen, 8th race Sinner and 6th race Rapunzel Beauty. On the other hand, favourite galore was seen in 3rd race from Royal Runner, 5th race from Khan Jee, 7th race from Follow My Lead and 9th race from Dazzling. In the first race, the winner Turab Prince was followed by Khabib at second place and Baa Aytbar at third position. In the second race, Tell Me pushed aside the favourite to be the winner while Casino Boy’s second place too was a surprise and Bet Of The Day was favouirte but it came third. In the third race Royal Runner lived up to the expectation by winning the first position and so was Artghal for a second place but a surprise win at third place came from Dancing Beauty.
In the fourth race Zoaq-e-Yakeen surprised everyone with favourite Silken Black slipping to second spot and Piyara Sayeen was unexpected third. In the fifth race, Khan Jee performed bythe book to be the winner. Similarly, Faizi Choice was expected to take the place and it did the same but Buland o Bala’s third position was a surprise. In the Dominator Cup, fourth upset of the day came when Rupanzul Beauty jumped to the winning line while favourite Countess Mara was pushed to second place and Innocent One was accommodated in the top with third spot. The seventh race winner was favourite Follow My Lead but Jharra unexpectedly got second place and Double Action, which was expected for a better position, came third. In the eighth race, Sinner jumped to the winning position, Salam-e-Dara claimed second place and Wind Talker was third contrary to the expectation.
In the final race of the day favorite Dazzling was the winner, Big Foot took a big stride enough to be second and Qamar Choice was surprise third.
