KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Ali Shalwani visited the National Stadium on Thursday and reviewed the arrangements in a meeting for the second Test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka to be played here from December 19-23.

Deputy commissioners Syed Salahuddin of District South and Ahmed Ali Siddiqui of District East, KWSB Managing Director Asaddulah Khan, PCB’s representative and NSK General Manager Arshad Khan, and senior officials of Sindh Police, Pakistan Rangers and civic agencies attended the meeting.

Iftikhar said that the people of Karachi love cricket and are excited to see their heroes in action at the NSK. “Foolproof security arrangements will be ensured during the historic five-day game. Special measures are being taken to make the matches safe, successful and memorable,” he said.

He said special parking arrangements were being made at Expo Centre, Sunday Bazaar and Home Economics College Ground. “A shuttle service will also be provided to facilitate people,” he added.
