15 BPS-18 PIMS officers promoted
Islamabad : The Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination has promoted 15 BPS-18 officers of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, the capital city's largest government hospital, on a regular basis.
Noted among those promoted is medico-legal expert and deputy director Dr Mohammad Farrukh Kamal, who has been made the director (EA&C) after promotion.
The promotions come on the recommendations of the ministry's Departmental Selection Board.
Among the other promoted officers are Assistant Professor Qasim Mahmood Buttar, Assistant Professor Rubina Aman, Assistant Professor Uzma Rasheed, Assistant Professor Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, Assistant Professor Sajid Mumtaz, Assistant Professor Shahid Khan, Assistant Professor Suresh Kumar, Senior Registrar Shugufta Yasmeen, Assistant Professor Mohammad Umar Farooq, Assistant Professor Mohammad Iqbal Khan, Procurement Officer Waris Ali Raza, Radiation Officer Mian Abid Furqan, Nursing Superintendent Zafar Iqbal and Nursing Inspector Erum Yaqoob.
They will be on probation for a period of one year extendable for another one year in line with Rule 21 of the Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1973.
On promotion, these officers have got new postings.
Dr Farrukh Kamal has been made director (EA&C), Dr Iqbal Khan deputy executive directors (medical), Waris Ali deputy executive directors (non-medical), Zafar Iqbal vice-principal of the College of Nursing, Erum Yaqoob principal of the School of Nursing, Dr Qasim, Dr Rubina, Dr Uzma, Dr Mumtaz, Dr Sajid and Dr Umar associate professors of oncology, pulmonology, rheumatology, general surgery, urology, and dental surgery departments, Dr Shahid and Dr Suresh associate professors (anesthesia), Dr Shagufta associate professor (gynaecology), and Mian Abid senior radiation officer.
The promoted officers will be on probation for a period of one year extendable for another one year in line with Rule 21 of the Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1973.
