PML-N issues report on Punjab govt’s performance
LAHORE: PML-N has issued a review report on Punjab government’s 15-month performance, which emphasised that the PTI government totally failed to bring any of the promised reforms in judiciary, health, education, police, taxation and infrastructure.
Punjab government has done nothing except transferring, IG Police, information minister, security and revenue officials, said PML-N Punjab general secretary Awais Leghari and Information secretary Azma Zahid Bukhari, MPA, while issuing the 15-months performance report to media at a press conference at party secretariat Model Town Wednesday.
Awais Leghari said what the PTI did during the last 15 months was murder of merit and justice, and victimisation of the political opponents. Both Awais Leghari and Azma Bukhari said every department and sphere of life had been practically displaying a chaotic situation due to the bad governance of the government and bureaucracy, but the government was busy in misleading the masses through media about false performance and fake achievements. They said the PTI government’s biggest achievement so far was hijacking the development projects of PML-N, putting their own names by removing the plaques of PML-N leaders.
They said actually the PTI suspended and reversed the major development projects of PML-N like Orange Line Train, Health Cards, clean drinking water, laptops to students etc. They said innocent family of Sahiwal killings was still waiting for justice after being gunned down by CTD police officials in cold blood in broad day light.
They said PTI government never tired of claiming about making the country a Madina like state, and dispensing justice according on the pattern of Madina. They asked if PTI rulers appointed chief minister on merit and if the CM was doing justice with the masses on the pattern of Madina state.
They alleged that the PTI government did nothing for improving mother-child healthcare, sending water to the tails of irrigation canals, building roads and bridges, providing sewerage and sanitation to the backward areas etc. They said PTI had taken U-turn on every claim and promise it made with the people.
They enumerated that instead of planting 50 million trees in southern Punjab not a single tree was planted, peasants were running from pillar to post for obtaining the gunny bags for storing their crops which actually destroyed due to not shifted to markets in time, growers were given low prices for their crops but the rates of bribery of police and Patwaris had gone too high. They said if Wasim Akram Plus chief minister Usman Buzdar could do away with the 80 million rupees annual expenditure on his helicopter then 500 more shelter homes could be built.
