‘Every possible assistance to be provided to deserving persons’
Rawalpindi :Chairperson, Women Protection Authority Punjab, Kaneez Fatima Chudhar, has said that in accordance with the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, a comprehensive plan will be implemented to coordinate the services of all related public welfare oriented services providing organisations so that maximum number of deserving persons especially women could be facilitated.
She stated this during visit of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women Crisis centre located at Social Welfare Complex, Rawalpindi. Director Social Welfare & Bait ul Maal Muhammad Aslam Maitla, Incharge Sant Zar Talat Shabbir, Incharge Women Crisis Centre Rizwana Bashir and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
Kaneez Fatima Chudhar said that it is endeavour of the provincial government to extend every possible assistance to the deserving people especially women to make them self-reliant by providing them skill development and income generating support. She said that provincial government, social welfare department and attached organizations rendering great services for the redressal of women grievances especially issues relating to domestic violence and family affairs. She was of the view that women have abilities to excel in different spheres of life and we can resolve their problems by giving them opportunities of education and professional training.
Chairperson Punjab Women Protection Authority also visited crisis centre and also inquired from the beneficiaries as well as solicitors about the facilities being provided to settle the family affairs of affected women.
