LAHORE: Shahbaz Sharif presided over a meeting in which the pace of progress on Punjab Saaf Pani project was reviewed. Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said that Saaf Pani Project was directly linked to public health and in view of its importance the project should be accelerated. He said that clean drinking water was the right of every citizen and the Punjab government would give the right to the people through the Saaf Pani Project. He said that billions of rupees will be spent on Saaf Pani Project during next three years and the scope of the project will be expanded to the whole province under a phased programme.
The chief minister said that implementation of the project should be ensured during the stipulated period and no delay would be tolerated in this regard.
