Islamabad: With the weather playing hide and seek in the capital, Friday was mildly sunny on one occasion and windy and cloudy on the other.
Also, it drizzled lightly in some localities. In the ongoing monsoon season marked high humidity levels, the pleasant weather cheered up Islooites with some going sightseeing and others staying indoors.
Restaurants and cafés attracted larger crowds though it's a workday, while sellers of 'samosa', 'pakora' and 'jaleebi' reported high sales, especially in the afternoon.
As forecast by the Meteorological Department, the current weather pattern will continue for three more days.
According to weatherman Muhammad Farooq, there is a high likelihood of thundershowers falling in the city from Saturday through Monday as monsoon currents were penetrating into central parts of the country under the influence of low pressure lying over south Punjab and its adjoining areas.
He said some deflected monsoon currents were already penetrating along Himalaya Mountains into Kashmir and adjoining areas.
The minimum and maximum temperatures recorded in the city were 26 and 31 degree centigrade respectively.
As for the humidity level, it was recorded 81%.
