LAHORE
University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) on Saturday conducted a draw to select two university employees to perform Umrah.
According to a press release the draw was arranged by the Academic Staff Association, Non-Teaching Staff Association (NTSA) and Officers Staff Association (OSA) of the UVAS. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha chaired the draw ceremony who announced the names of two lucky winners.
According to the draw results, Mubarik Mahmood, Lecturer CVAS Jhang, was selected from among the employees from grade-16 and above while Muhammad Israr, Naib Qasid (Animal Nutrition), from among the employees of grade-1 to 15.
Speaking on the occasion, the vice-chancellor congratulated the Umrah draw winners. He said such sacred traditions become the identification of institutions.
