Islamabad: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has announced new working hours for the capital city's government educational institutions.
With a two-day weekend, the schools and colleges overseen by FDE function from Monday to Friday.
According to a relevant FDE official, the educational institutions having a single shift i.e. morning shift will open at 8 a.m. and close at 2 p.m. from Monday to Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Fridays.
The others will remain open from 7:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. between Monday and Thursday and from 7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Fridays for morning shift and from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. between Monday and Thursday and from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Fridays for evening shift.
