Mountain film festival kicks off

LAHORE
The first Pakistan international Mountain Film Festival kicked off at Alhamra Arts Council, The Mall on Sunday.
This festival hosts the participation of 12 countries, including India, where 32 films were selected out of 500 films from 80 countries and showcased in Lahore. Tourism Development Corporation sponsored this two-day event. DCO Lahore, Captain Mohammad Usman said the festival would be a milestone and would be the game changer in tourism in Pakistan. The participation of delegations from countries, including India was a big achievement, as it would help improve soft image of Pakistan and open the door to international tourism. DG PHA Mohammad Shakeel and other officials were also present at the occasion. Later, DCO Captain Mohammad Usman inaugurated the exhibition at Alhamra Art Gallery. The exhibition holds stalls representing culture of all provinces. A large number of people from all walks of life attended the festival and appreciated the efforts of Punjab Tourism Department. Today is the last day of the festival.
