Islamabad : A public awareness campaign for prevention of dengue fever was launched Thursday in the capital’s rural area Tarlai, with Minister for Health Aamer Mehmood Kiani as the chief guest.
“In order to achieve a dengue-free society, this campaign will educate masses about the necessary indoor and outdoor preventive measures to be taken across various locations of the city. A plan of action for field activities has been chalked out and trainings of staff comprising Lady Health Workers and others have been completed for result-oriented outcomes,” Kiani stated. The campaign was initially started with daily activities from Tarnol, with Bhara Kahu and Rawat planned to be covered in due course.
