Pesco says Rs3.21m recovered from defaulters

PESHAWAR: The Pesco has recovered Rs 3.21 million from defaulters and removed 385 direct hooks in the Khyber Circle.
The Khyber Circle Task Forces of Rural Division Kohat disconnected the power supply from five distribution transformers due to non-payment of dues. Task Forces of Mardan-1 Division recovered Rs2.32m from defaulters, replaced nine tampered meters and removed 9 direct hooks and nine meters on non-payment of dues.
The task forces sent names of 28 persons to the police stations for lodging the first information reports over charges of power pilferage. Similarly, Task Forces of Mardan-2 Division recovered Rs 0.91 million from defaulters and removed 16 direct hooks.
