LAHORE: Indian High Commisioner Ajay Bisaria has said both Pakistan and India were making efforts for taking action against banned Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). While talking to Jang over phone, the high commissioner said India is in contact with Pakistan and China regarding JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar. He said Pakistan acknowledges JeM is involved in unacceptable activities and some development is expected soon in this regard. He said China’s condemnation of the Pulwama attack indicated that Beijing also intended to act against Masood Azhar. Bisaria said he was expanding contacts with Pakistanis belonging to different walks of life including media.
According to sources, the high commission decided to expand contacts after consultation with the Indian ministry of external affairs. The high commission has also arranged a dinner for media where Bisaria would interact with journalists.
