PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has directed all the administrative secretaries to initiate a monthly performance review of the respective departments.
The secretaries were asked to propose a set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or matrix. It would be used to measure departmental performance as part of a performance scorecard.
According to an official handout, the matrix would be agreed in the first meeting with the chief minister to highlight the departments’ performance in the last six months. The specific focus would be on how their work benefited the public. The secretaries were directed to present a five-year plan along with targets for the next three months (till June), six months (September) and through the next financial year (2019-20). The plans should also have an indicative budget, both current and developmental, along with justification. The chief minister will review these plans on a monthly basis. These need to be submitted by March 29.
