‘PML-N always supported rule of law’
PESHAWAR: PML-N provincial president Amir Muqam has said his party leader Nawaz Sharif played an active role in the movement for restoration of judiciary and supported the lawyers’ struggle in past. He was speaking at Muslim Lawyers Forum convention. Forum president Naseer Butt, Senator Pir Sabir, MNA Murtaza Javed, ex-governor Iqbal Jhagra and forum’s provincial president Alamzeb Khan were present. The PML-N leader said Nawaz Sharif was facing punishment for his efforts to eliminate terrorism, strengthen Pakistan’s economy and bringing CPEC to Pakistan.
Pir Sabir Shah, Murtaza Javed and Iqbal Jhagra said Nawaz Sharif was being denied proper medical facility under a conspiracy. “Nawaz Sharif made country a nuclear power by conducting nuclear explosion despite pressure,” they added. They said PML-N government had pulled the country out of economic crisis. The PTI government, he said, had failed to come up to the expectations.
