Pak-Turkmen JBC deal signed
KARACHI: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce of Turkmenistan (Turkmenistan CCI) signed a memorandum of understanding for the establishment of the Pak-Turkmen Joint Business Council, a statement said on Wednesday.
Daroo Khan Achakzai, president of the FPCCI and Rahimberdy Jepbarov, chairman of the board of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan inked the agreement in the presence of Rashid Meredov, foreign minister of Turkmenistan and Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi, federal minister for foreign affairs, Pakistan, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad.
The Joint Business Council will act as a settled working strategy between the national chambers of the two countries to assist business circles of Turkmenistan and Pakistan strengthen and enhance bilateral economic relations, the statement said.
