Islamabad: In a unique gathering to greet spring guests, including ambassadors/ high commissioners, senior bureaucrats, officers from the valiant Armed Forces and elite of the twin-cities had candid discussion on Sunday brunch about the current affairs. On the top was India’s aggressive posturing and irresponsible acts to aggravate the situation in the South Asia, including committing aggression against Pakistan for repulsive political motives.

An outstanding entrepreneur Luqman Afzal Monal and his spouse were the host. The guests were of the view that Pakistan has dealt with the situation created by the Indian leadership sagaciously and the role of the opposition is commendable that buried hatchets against the government at the face of Indian evil designs.

Some guests belonging to the Armed Forces reminded the fellow guests that Pakistan Armed Forces are fully alert and prepared to thwart any misadventure by its enemy in future as well. Their morale is touching skies since the whole nation stands by them and united for a greater cause, they said. Some guests were of the view that once the tension is receded, the government should not return to its old fold and convert the occasion into an opportunity to mend its fences with the opponents.

The guests had difference of opinion about the early repatriating the Indian Air Force (IAF) captured pilot to India. They were happy about the resolution of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) but distressed about extending of invitation to the Indian External Affairs minister and her speech where she tried to criticise Pakistan without taking its name.

They were of the opinion that a government of a country which is perpetrating repression against its Muslim fellow citizens should have not been invited in the Muslim organisation’s huddle. The guest families enjoyed thoroughly pleasant day in Monal marquee in the lap of Margalla Hills. Luqman Ali Afzal Monal received the guests with fair amount of warmth at the outer gate of the marquee.
