PHC orders federal, KP govts to submit replies

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday directed the federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments to submit detailed replies in a writ petition challenging mysterious disappearance of an Indian national from Kohat district in 2012.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel and Justice Muhammad Daud Khan directed Additional Advocate General Qaiser Ali Shah and standing council for federal government to submit replies on behalf of the governments in the light of statements of the police officers about the missing persons. The police officers had stated that the Indian national was handed over to the agencies for investigation
The bench also sought reply from Military Intelligence (MI) in the mysterious disappearance of an Indian national from Kohat. The other intelligence agencies have expressed ignorance about the whereabouts of the missing Indian national.
