Chairmen of district Zakat committees in city named

The Sindh Zakat Council has nominated chairmen of the Zakat and Ushr committees of the six districts of Karachi for the next three years.

In this regard, the secretary for the Sindh Auqaf, Religious Affairs, Zakat & Usher Department has issued a notification.

The notification states: “In exercise of powers conferred under Section-14 (4) (5) & (6) of the Sindh Zakat & Ushr Act 2011, the Sindh Zakat Council, in its 23rd meeting held on 19-02-2019 has been pleased to nominate/appoint the following persons as chairmen, District Zakat & Ushr committees for a term of three years or till the pleasure of the Council, with immediate effect till further orders.”

Muhammad Saeed Chawla, son of Shaikh Muhammad Shafi Chawla, will be the chairman of the District Zakat & Ushr Committee in Karachi East from February 22, 2019, for three years in the first term; Naik Muhammad Brohi, son of Allah Bakhsh, will be the chairman in Karachi West for the same period in the first term; Ghulam Muhammad Samoo, son of Yar Muhammad Samoo, will be the chairman in District South for the same period for the first term; Abdul Samad Gabol , son of Muhammad Ayal Khan, will be the chairman in the District Central for the same period for the second consecutive term; Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, son of Rahim Bukhsh, will be chairman in District Korangi during the same period for the first term; and Imran Bux Hoath, son of Kannar Hoath, will be the chairman in District Malir during the same period for the first term.
