Man guns down sister, niece over property
LAHORE : A 50-year-old woman and her 12-year-old daughter were shot dead in Factory Area on Saturday over a property issue.
The victims were identified as Nasreen, wife of Hafeez of Ghazia Road and her daughter Bisma. Hafeez’s eight-year-old son Ahmad and a 38-year-old woman, Parveen, daughter of Sharif, were wounded in the incident.
Victim Nasreen’s brother allegedly opened firing on the family of his sister over a property issue that left two dead and two wounded.
The wounded were admitted to hospital. Police have removed the bodies to morgue.

Passersby spotted the body and informed police. The body has been removed to morgue. arrested: The Operations Wing of Lahore Police claimed to have arrested 2,339 criminals in the last 15 days.
The police rounded up 75 members of 27 gangs of dacoits and recovered valuables from them. As many as 186 illegal arms carriers were arrested and eight rifles, five guns, 166 pistols and 960 bullets were seized from them.
The police arrested 286 drug pushers and seized 1kg ice, 9kg heroin, 164kg charas, 70kg opium and 4,025 bottles of liquor from them.
Around 433 accused gamblers, 100 proclaimed offenders, 119 court absconders and 47 accused of wheelie and 839 kite flyers were arrested. Sixty-five persons were held on charges of firing into the air.
Twenty-seven persons were arrested under the Beggary Act, 289 under Price Control Act, five under Marriage Act and 65 persons were held for violating Loud Speaker Act.
