NAB arrests KP’s director archaeology, museums
PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday arrested Abdul Samad, provincial Director Archaeology and Museums, for alleged involvement in misuse of authority.
The National Accountability Bureau KP through a communiqué said a complaint was received alleging corruption and corrupt practices in the department. Taking cognisance, it said the NAB KP initiated an inquiry into the matter.
“The accused person in connivance with others misused his authority and made numerous appointments at different archeological sites in gross violation of rules,” it said. “The National Accountability Bureau KP is vigorously pursuing the case and more arrests are on the cards. The accused persons will be presented in the Accountability Court Peshawar for obtaining their physical remand,” it added.
