Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Punjab leadership has predicted a remarkable and historic victory of the PTI in the upcoming local body elections while foiling all the rigging plans of the sitting government.
Addressing a workshop held at the Aiwan-e-Iqbal on Saturday to sensitise the PTI office-bearers regarding the upcoming local body elections in Punjab, the provincial leadership of the Tehreek-e-Insaaf said that local organisations should award tickets on merit and come up with potential candidates.
The convention was addressed by the PTI Punjab leaders including Ejaz Chaudhry, Opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmood-ul-Rasheed, Dr Yasmeen Rashid, Andleeb Abbas, former MNA Chaudhry Ashfaq, former MPA Faizullah Kamoka and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Ejaz Chaudhry said the PTI created a history in 2014 while launching an unprecedented struggle against the present regime. He said the delimitation of constituencies and local body elections on party basis was the demand of the PTI which had been accepted.
Mian Mehmood urged the party members to gear up for local body elections and launch a campaign in the month of Ramazan. He added that the Punjab organisation had worked exceptionally well for strengthening the party during its tenure.
