Islamabad: Minister of State for the Capital Administration and Development Division Barrister Usman Ibrahim has Minister had ordered the relevant authorities to ensure transparency in the award of the contract of CCTV camera installations at the government schools and colleges of Islamabad Capital Territory.
In this respect, the minister has called the Federal Directorate of Education Director General to his office along with record regarding the opening of tender, where three companies were rejected on technical grounds and only single company was left in the competition. “This condition discourages the spirit of transparency,” he said. The minister said multiple eligible companies should take part in the competition so that the lowest bidder could be awarded the contract according to PPRA rules.
