The residents of Paradise Homes and Country Terrance in Gulzar-e-Hijri on Abdul Hassan Isphani Road have been facing an acute shortage of potable water for the last about 10 years.
Residents said on Wednesday they could not afford to buy costly water from water tankers anymore. They accused the tanker mafia of minting money from them. They said: “We have complained to the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board time and gain but in vain.”
