Dawn director marketing killed mysteriously

KARACHI: Masood Hamid, Director Marketing, daily Dawn, was found murdered in his car in the Defence Housing Authority’s Phase-8 on Friday night.
Upon information that a blood-drenched body was lying in a car in front of the Women’s College, the police reached the spot and shifted the body to hospital. Masood Hamid had been associated with the newspaper for the past 28 years. He was also a former secretary general of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society.
He has left behind a widow, a daughter and a son. Police are investigating the incident from different angles.Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed grief and concern over the ‘assassination’ of Masood Hamid. He ordered immediate inquiry and offered condolences to the aggrieved family.
