Students’ enrollment begins in Faisalabad
‘Parho Punjab, Barho Punjab’

FAISALABAD: Enrollment of students under the ‘Parho Punjab, Barho Punjab’ Monday started in Faisalabad for which the target of enrolment of 580,000 students in the Faisalabad division is fixed until October 31.
Education Secretary (Schools) Abdul Jabbar Shaheen inaugurated the drive by enrolling students at Iqbal Auditorium Agriculture University and gave books and bags to them.EDOs (Education) Faisalabad, Jhang, TT Singh and Chiniot, AC (G) Mahr Shafqatuallh Mushtaq, DMO Tariq Niazi, DEOs, DDEOs, AEOs, head teachers of govt schools, representatives of private schools, parents and students attended the inauguration.
Addressing the participants, the secretary said ‘Parho Punjab, Barho Punjab’ is a revolutionary step to educate every child in the province and bring prosperity to the country.He asked relevant authorities to keep strict check and balance and monthly inspection of schools to turn the vision of Chief Minister into reality.
He said high quality classroom environment and international standard curriculum would be ensured.He said all school going children would be enrolled and 130,000 teachers would be hired on merit.
He urged all authorities to work for the success of ‘Parho Punjab, Barho Punjab’ drive.Later, he visited the MC Girls High School, Susas Road, and urged the administration to focus on imparting quality education to students.
