Three of a family among five die in road accidents
KASUR: Five people, including a man, his wife and daughter, died in road accidents. Muhammad Saddaqat of Lahore, his wife and children were going to Kasur on a motorcycle to see their relatives. When they reached near Noorpur, they fell down on the road when another motorcycle hit them. A speeding van hit them, leaving Saddaqat, his wife Muqddas and minor daughter Iqra dead on the spot. Two other girls Sonia and Fatima sustained critical injuries and were shifted to the DHQ Hospital from where they were referred to Lahore. At Talwandi, a speeding van killed Raihan Ali, 11, when he was crossing a road. Motorcyclist Muhammad Rasheed was hit by a vehicle near Darbar Sheikh Illam Din, Chunian. He died on the spot. A speeding bus turned over near Bhoay Asil on Kot Radah Kishan Road, leaving 10 passengers injured. The injured were shifted to hospital. At Saran Adda, a van overturned due to the slippery road, leaving nine passengers injured. They were shifted to hospital.
