PESHAWAR: The National Industrial Relations Commission (NIRC), Peshawar Bench, has declared strike of the Wapda Hydro Worker Labour Union illegal and barred it from this practice until all the legal formalities are fulfilled.
The management of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) had filed a writ petition in the NIRC, Peshawar Bench, against the Pakistan Wapda Hydro Worker Labour Union CBA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for observing illegal strikes and locking up Pesco offices, said a communiqué on Wednesday.
The NIRC Peshawar Bench also issued notice to CBA for appearing in the court on April 24.On this occasion, director Legal and Labour Pesco, Raja Ishtiaq Ahmad said that if CBA union of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continued this illegal practice it will be a violation of IRA 2012 and such practice is liable to punishment.
