Partly cloudy forecast

LAHORE: Partly cloudy weather was observed in the city here Thursday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.

Met officials said a westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country and likely to persist during next two days. They predicted that rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Fata, Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad Divisions), Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.

Thursday’s maximum temperature was recorded at Sibbi where mercury reached 45°C while in Lahore, it was 34°C, minimum was 25.6°C and humidity level was 38 percent.
