Ghazanfar-Hassan make waves in national shooting

KARACHI: The father-and-son duo of Commodore Ghazanfar Abbas and S/Lt Hassan Abbas have been making waves for Pakistan Navy on the national shooting circuit in recent times.
The seasoned Ghazanfar, who is an established shooter at the national level, and the fast-emerging Hassan recently made their presence felt in the second LGSG Shooting Championship in Lahore.
Ghazanfar, who is a vice president of the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) and COO of the Karachi Golf Club, won the gold medal in the championship while Hassan barely missed and ended up claiming the bronze medal. As usual, the Pakistan Navy team did well in the event with Zeeshan Shakir and Minhal Sohail also winning gold medals and Zafar Mehwish and Aqsa winning silver medals.
