50 clinics of quacks sealed

LAHORE: Punjab Healthcare Commission sealed another 50 clinics of quacks in the city on Wednesday. PHC teams visited 116 treatment centres in different parts of the city, and closed down 50 businesses of quacks. The quacks were categorised as 33 general quacks, six bone-setters, four each fake dentists and hakeems, besides sealing three laboratories. These were providing different sorts of illegal treatment, which included practice of allopathic by homoeopathic doctors and hakeems, fake dentists’ clinics and unregistered laboratories.
