Many people who moved into their new homes in Gulshan-e-Zareen Society near Gadap Town were seeking comfortable lives. However, the reality is far from what they had expected. Residents faced considerable problems when they found out that the area has no electricity connection. Two years have passed and the relevant authorities have not installed electric connection in the area.
While some people have purchased generators and others have switched to using solar panels, there are still a large number of families that cannot afford any of these facilities. Even houses that have generators or small solar power panels are facing challenges. Electric appliances require a high voltage that generators or solar panels cannot provide. Residents want the authorities to arrange for separate pole-mounted transformer so that the locality can receive uninterrupted power supply.
