Rawalpindi: Summer season is knocking at the door as temperature is continuously soaring in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Day and night temperatures are going up continuously. An increase by 2 to 3 degrees centigrade is predicted by the Pakistan Meteorological Department on Tuesday in most parts of Punjab and Islamabad. Most people have stopped wearing warm clothes dur- ing daytime as bright sun becomes unbearable for them. Pakistan Meteorological Department’s Chief Meteorologist Muhammad Hanif told ‘The News’ that temperature would continuously increase. On Monday, the temperature in Rawalpindi and Islamabad was 32 degrees Celsius, he said. He said that temperature would increase two to three degrees Celsius per day. People would have to bear hot and dry weather for another week, he said.
