TIMERGARA: Controller Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Malakand, Professor Jamil Ahmad on Friday said the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) examination under the board would commence on April 25 and the board had made all necessary preparations in this connection.
Earlier, the HSSC examination was scheduled to start from April 20 which was postponed due to protest of employees against the proposed law to eliminate the autonomous status of all boards.
Talking to The News at his office, Prof Jamil Ahmad said a total of 188 examination centres, including 139 for male and 49 for female candidates, had been established. Jamil Ahmad added that a total of 54,097 students including 15,235 female and 38,862 male students would appear in HSSC annual examination under BISE Malakand this year.
A total of 1,876 staff including 1,500 invigilators,188 superintendents and the same number of deputy superintendents would supervise the examination, Jamil Ahmad said, adding (CCTV cameras had been installed at about 80 percent halls to monitor the examination process.
