Islamabad: Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) inaugurated its annual Sports Day, says a press release.
On the occasion the PIDE vice chancellor while speaking to the students said sports and leisure are a part of grooming of our students. He said, “Sports teach us endurance and competing with a generous spirit – traits incredibly important for future professionals and leaders. PIDE is committed to the wellbeing and nurturing of its students. We also provide almost 40% scholarships to our student body because we believe every student deserves an access to quality education.”
The event commenced with a cultural event as students represented the diverse cultural tapestry of the country. The entire day remained filled with the vibrancy of the activities as students participated enthusiastically. Activities organized included badminton, table tennis, archery, chess, carom-board games, arm-wrestling etc. The event was organized by PIDE Adventure .
