Siraj writes to PM, COAS on Kashmir situation
ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) central ameer Sirajul Haq has written letters to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa for immediate steps to raise voice of suppressed Kashmiris passing through worst kind of India's state terrorism, at the international level.
Sirajul Haq while supporting call of the Pakistan government for protest day on April 06 (Friday), called upon the whole nation to get united and join hands to condemn Indian forces atrocities on Kashmiris struggling for their just cause of right to self-determination.
The JI top leader asked the government to immediately convene joint sitting of the Parliament having one point agenda of deciding future plan of action on the burning issue through a consensus resolution. He said there was also need to exert pressure on India through an effective diplomatic campaign. Sirajul Haq said along with calling emergency OIC meeting in Islamabad, the government should send delegations to capitals of important countries to highlight plight of innocent Kashmiris. He also proposed holding National Kashmir Conference in Islamabad and making role of the AJK government more effective in the Kashmir freedom movement.
