Sports day awards
Islamabad: To extol the achievements of students, annual sports prize distribution cremony 2017-2018 was held at Islamabad Model College For Girls (Postgraduate) F-7/4 here on Thursday. The chief guest of the function was Director Colleges Federal Directorate of Education Islamabad Ms. Amber Sultana.
The chief guest gave away prizes and certificate to the winners of each events in badminton, table tennis, volley ball, net ball, basketball, cricket, shot-put, discus throw, high-jump and long jump.
The Chief Guest Amber Sultana stressed upon the students to have sporting spirit and the loser should not get discouraged by losing the game. "Winning and losing is all part of the game. It is heartening to see that sports are regularly held under extra-curricular activities in the college and all the colleges of Islamabad should encourage sports activities on regular basis.
Sports helps everyone to improve their physical and mental abilities as it encourages healthy competition among students," she said. In the end the college principal Farkhanda Ishtiaq presented the college crest to the chief guest.
