PESHAWAR: Prof Dr Rif'at Hussain, a US-based Pakistani plastic surgeon, has offered to provide free surgical services to the patients suffering from congenital abnormality and need highly specialised surgical procedure at the Mardan Medical Complex (MMC).
Medical Director MMC Prof Dr Mukhtar Ali said Prof Rif'at has arrived in Pakistan and would be available in the hospital to provide free surgical services to the patients.
He said they had already established plastic surgery department and appointed two plastic surgeons, saying besides providing free services to those borne with congenital abnormality, will also train their plastic surgeons about the latest research and innovative surgical skills.
Prof Mukhtar said that Prof Rif'at has been serving for the past 40 years and developed better skills in plastic surgery.
"On the personal request of Chairman Board of Governors Dr Fazle Hadi, Prof Rif'at has agreed to spare time for the patients and operate them free of cost in MMC this year," said the hospital administrator.
He said that patients have been suffering from congenital abnormality should register themselves with the MMC administration and after they register 5-10 patients, they will approach Prof Rif'at to come and operate them.
