Inter collegiates debate contests held at Viqarun Nisa College
Rawalpindi: The division level three Urdu debate contests under the ‘Punjab Chief Minister Competitions 2017-18’ were held at Government Viqar-un-Nisa Postgraduate College for Women, on Friday, says a press release.
The objective of holding these contests was to explore the inner talents of students and boost their confidence. The principal of the host college, Professor Dr. Saira Mufti was the chief guest on the occasion.
The first competition on the topic of ‘Tarbiat aaam to hai johar-e-qabil hi nahi’ was held among the students of 10 colleges.The judges of the competition were the three lecturers; Sadia Iftikhar (Govt College for Women, Dhoke Hassu), Ms Asia (Govt College for Women, Dhoke Syedan) and Samina Asla (Government Viqar-un-Nisa Postgraduate College for Women).
Tanzim-ul-Inaam from Govt College for Women, Attock got first position, Aysha Faisal from Govt College for Women, Jehlum got second and Manhil Swera from VIP Degree College Talagang got third position.The students of 11 colleges participated in the second contest on the topic of ‘Hamaray talimi zawal ka sabab tulba ya hukmaran’.
The judges of the second competition were; Shagufta Shahnaz (Govt Viqar-un-Nisa Postgraduate College for Women), Snow Fishan (Govt College for Women, Muslim Town) and Rehana Mateen (Govt College for Women, Dhoke Mangtal).
Rida Zainab (Govt Degree College, Chakwal) got 1st position, Umme tul Karim (Govt Degree College, Jhelum) got 2nd and Sweera Shafqat (Govt Degree College, Hasanabdal) got third position.
The students of 5 colleges participated in the third contest on the topic of ‘Tariki ky liay Riwayat sy baghawat zaroori hy.’The judges of the third competition were three lectures; Asmat Tahira (Govt College for Women, Peshawar Road), Wajiha Iqbal (Govt College for Women, B-Block, Satellite Town) and Munaza Ismail (Govt College for Women, Wah Cantt).
Samreen Iram (Govt Postgraduate Gordon College) got first position, Anis Fatima (Govt Postgraduate College, Jhelum) got second and Sadaf Dua (Govt Postgraduate Gordon College) got the third position.
