The DJ Science College Action Committee organised a protest against the Sindh Textbook Board on Wednesday in front of the college demanding that its computer science department, in which the board has been running its regional office for last several years, be vacated.
The protesters, which included teachers and students, appealed to Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to get the college’s building released from “illegal occupation” by the textbook board since 2010 in connivance with a senior school education department official.
He said the historic college was the CM’s alma mater and, therefore, he should intervene to ensure that the occupied building is given back to the college.
