Rotary Club holds hockey match for polio awareness
LAHORE: Rotary Club of Sucha Souda Eagles organised a hockey match in Farooqabad as a part of Rotary District Governor’s official visit to promote awareness about the deadly disease of polio.
Many players who represented Pakistan hockey team on various occasions participated in the match. Rotary International District Governor Faiza Qamar was the chief guest who distributed trophies and awards among the players. Later, she appreciated the players and management for promoting the national sports and polio awareness at the same time.
After the match, the club meeting was held in which Governor Faiza Qamar presented Rotary pins and flags to Club President Waseem Aslam and Club Secretary Kashif Mansoor. President Waseem Aslam introduced his club members and informed that some of members are gold medallists with Pakistan hockey team. He also informed about club’s various polio awareness activities carried out in the past.
