NAB DG to hold open hearing every month

LAHORE: Following the directions from National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Javed Iqbal, Lahore NAB Director Shahzad Saleem has decided to hold public hearing on last Thursday of every month.

The DG would hear all complaints and issue immediate directives regarding the complaints. According to NAB spokesman, the NAB DG has ensured that all the investigations/actions authorised over the complaints received during the open hearing would be transparent and up to the mark, and the culprits involved would be punished under the NAB law.

Moreover, Shahzad Saleem also assured that strict action would be taken against any NAB investigation officer/official found involved in unlawful activity during the course of investigation.

The Lahore NAB would conduct its maiden public complaint hearing on the upcoming Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 2PM to 4PM. The spokesman advised all the complainants to pen down their complaints on white papers, attached with the supporting documents and available proofs along with the photocopies of their national identity cards for further consideration.

PFA: Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Director General Noor-ul-Amin Mengal paid a surprise visit to Punjab Institute of Mental Health (PIMH) to review the hospital canteen arrangements and expressed satisfaction on food quality.

He visited different sections of the canteen to examine the quality and ingredients of the food including spices, meat, lentil and other items. He commended the canteen administration for maintaining food quality up-to-the-mark of PFA standards. The DG said a large number of patients visited hospitals on daily basis and approached the hospital canteens to beat the hunger pangs.

He announced to provide free training to all employees of the hospital cafeteria in order to improve the food quality. He said due to the regular visits of PFA teams, the hospitals canteens had maintained the food standards.
