KARACHI: Olympian Islahuddin and Dr Mohammad Ali Shah Academy are organising Major Jehanzaib Adnan Shaheed hockey tournament at its blue turf hockey stadium in North Nazimabad, which was inaugurated by Sindh secretary sports Laiq Ahmed on Monday.
The tournament is being played on league basis and 12 teams are participating, divided in three pools.
Laiq said that hockey organisers should get the benefit of the synthetic turfs laid at various grounds across the province.
On the first day of the tournament, TNT XI defeated Shairwani Motors by 3-1 and Olympian Islahuddin Academy crushed Al Faisal Club by 9-1. Two matches will be played every day.
