The science of cricket

It is time our crazy cricket lovers demonstrate the same spirit of sportsmanship as is done by other countries. At present, our young players are going through a building phase. It takes time before they become fully grown up as experienced players. Even the West Indies are not up to the mark and struggling to attain their lost glory.
England, South Africa and New Zealand have still not won a World Cup but their boards and players do not get the sort of treatment ours do. We must not forget the promising cricket teams like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Ireland coming up to pose a challenge to senior teams. Cricket is now a scientific game that requires intelligent thinking and complete knowhow about the rules of the game by each player and management. Fitness, general behaviour and etiquette are essential parts of the game. We need to give serious attention to the game at school, college, university, club and league levels as is done in other countries. We should act to prove as a responsible cricket playing country.
