NOWSHERA: Position-holder students of a private school were given cash prizes and commendation certificates during a ceremony in the school hall here.
Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Mardan Chairman Shaukat Hayat Khan was the chief guest on the occasion while Bacha Khan Model School, Pabbi Principal Shakeela Yousafzai, teachers and a large number of students were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Shaukat Hayat Khan said Mardan BISE was being computerised and the examination papers were being checked through computers.
“For the first time in the history of the country, the online system has been introduced in the board,” he pointed out.
Shaukat Hayat Khan added that efforts were on to decrease fees of the board and in some departments, fees had already been decreased. In case of complaint about extra fees, toll-free number of the board could be contacted, he added.
Shakeela Yousafzai said that six students of the Bacha Khan Model were among the top 50 distinction holders of the board.
