Trouble in paradise

January 17, 2018

The already strained India-Pakistan relationship received another setback when the Indian army chief, General Bipin Rawat, threatened Pakistan. His intimidating and insane statement, in which he has openly asserted that his country would not hesitate to call our nuclear bluff, has rung alarm bells across Pakistan. The country’s civil and military leaderships were quick to respond. The latter went as far as challenging India to attack Pakistan to see for itself as to how our brave and resilient nation responds to this misadventure.

It seems that the current diplomatic row which unfolded as a result of Kulbhushan Jadhav’s arrest is unlikely to ease any time soon. These irresponsible statements of the Indian army chief will further add fuel to the fire given the fact that there is no semblance of restraint by both the countries at the LoC. In today’s world, new and even more deadly war techniques have been introduction. The usage of such weapons will have a large-scale destruction. India shouldn’t take the military might and resolve of the Pakistani nation for granted. The armed forces of Pakistan are highly professional and competent. They are able to give a stern response to our enemy, in case of any misadventure.
